Having a cut flower farm has been one of Chellie’s dreams for many years. That dream started to become more possible when we moved to a 6 acre property in Rougemont, North Carolina in 2021.

After gardening on our property for 4 years, we decided to start the flower farm in 2025. We sell flowers and eggs from our laying hens at our onsite farm stand and at local markets.

Red Mountain Farm is a family operation. Chellie oversees growing, harvesting, and arranging the flowers as well as the business aspects of the farm. Adam constructs beds and fences. Nell, who has loved gardening for all of her short life, helps plant seeds and dig holes.

As with Chellie’s pottery business, our work is inspired by nature and the wildlife around our home. We grow our flowers hand in hand with nature, utilizing a no-till approach alongside cover crops and compost to improve soil health.
